Finero
Accounting integration

Finero + QuickBooks Online

Two-way sync with QuickBooks Online. Finero treats QuickBooks as the source of invoices and posts payments back as matched receipts.

Smaller B2B sellers keep QuickBooks for books and statutory reporting; Finero takes over the receivables work.

What the QuickBooks Online integration does, end to end.

  1. 1. Sync

QuickBooks Online sends open AR, customer master and terms into Finero on a continuous basis.

  2. 2. Chase

Fin chases per-invoice across email, SMS and chat – respecting your customers' credit terms.

  3. 3. Collect

Buyers pay card or ACH on hosted Finero pages, routed through your existing payment provider.

  4. 4. Reconcile

Cash is matched to invoices at the line level and posted back to QuickBooks Online with audit trail.

How the QuickBooks Online sync works

Two-way and continuous: invoices, customers, and credit memos flow from QuickBooks Online into Finero; payments post back as matched receipts against the invoices they pay. QuickBooks stays the books – Finero never creates parallel records that need reconciling later.

Payments that can't be confidently matched are flagged for review rather than left as unapplied credits on the customer account.

QuickBooks invoice reminders vs an autonomous layer

QuickBooks Online can send automatic invoice reminders on a schedule – useful, but one template on one channel, with no judgment about the account and nothing after the reminder. Finero adds the rest of the cycle: per-buyer cadence across email, SMS, and chat, card and ACH payment on hosted pages through your existing processor, dispute triage, and receipts matched back into QuickBooks automatically. Teams typically move up when the ledger outgrows what a fixed reminder schedule can cover.

Common questions about the QuickBooks Online integration

Does Finero write back to QuickBooks Online?

Yes – cash receipts, credit memos and reconciliation entries are posted back to QuickBooks Online via its native API. Every action is auditable.

Will the integration affect our QuickBooks Online close?

No. Finero respects your accounting periods. Cash receipts are dated by settlement date and post to the correct period.

How long does the QuickBooks Online connector take to deploy?

Most customers are live within 2–4 weeks. Time is dominated by your internal access and approval, not by Finero's setup.

Can we keep our existing payment provider?

Yes. Finero is processor-agnostic – Stripe, Adyen, Worldpay, Authorize.Net and others all work with the QuickBooks Online connector unchanged.

Do we keep using QuickBooks as the system of record?

Yes. QuickBooks stays the books and statutory reporting; Finero owns the workflow between invoice and matched receipt.
