AI collections agent for B2B accounts receivable

Fin is Finero’s AI collections agent. It chases every open invoice, answers customer replies, takes payment through your own provider and posts the cash back to your ERP, within the rules your team sets. Your team stops chasing and only handles the disputes and exceptions Fin passes on.

What is an AI collections agent?

Software that runs collections for you, from the first reminder to the cash in your ledger. A reminder tool sends the same schedule to everyone; an agent decides what each invoice needs and acts on the reply.

Your own receivables

B2B invoices before and after the due date, for customers you want to keep. Not debt recovery.

A decision per invoice

The channel, timing and tone are chosen for each customer, and change when the customer replies.

Done when the cash is posted

Payment is taken and recorded in your ERP, so the invoice closes without anyone re-keying it.

What Fin does on its own

The five jobs your team does by hand today.

  1. Plans each invoice

Picks the channel, cadence and tone for every invoice and customer, and escalates by aging and value.

  2. Follows up

Sends reminders before and after the due date: email on Core; email, SMS and chat on Scale, with phone hand-off when needed.

  3. Answers replies

Handles questions, tracks promises to pay, and routes disputes to AR, sales or operations with the invoice attached.

  4. Takes payment

Every message links to a hosted page where the customer pays one invoice or the whole balance by card or ACH, through your provider.

  5. Posts the cash

Writes payments back to your ERP. On Scale, automatic reconciliation matches short-pays and deductions at the invoice line.

Your team stays in control

Fin works inside the rules you set, and people keep the decisions that need them.

Your rules

Set the tone, cadence and escalation thresholds. Templates are yours; Fin picks the timing. Every message is branded as your company.

Sign-off where it matters

Choose the accounts that need approval before any contact, and limit who can change the rules with role-based access.

Full audit trail

Every message and posting is logged and traced back to a decision.

People handle the exceptions

Disputes and anything Fin cannot match confidently go to your team with the context attached. Fin does not guess.

AI collections agent FAQ

What is an AI collections agent?

An AI collections agent is software that runs B2B collections on its own. It decides which customers to contact and when, sends the follow-ups, reads and answers replies, takes payment and records the cash in the ERP, working within a policy the finance team sets. Fin is Finero's AI collections agent.

How can AI be used in collections?

In three main ways. Assistants inside an ERP rank a collector's worklist or draft a reminder for the collector to send. AI voice agents call debtors for debt recovery, usually for consumer debt or accounts already handed to an agency. An agent such as Fin runs the B2B cycle itself, from the first reminder before the due date to the payment posted in the ERP.

Is an AI collections agent the same as a debt collection agency?

No. A debt collection agency is a third party that takes over accounts once internal collections have stopped, and is usually paid a share of what it recovers. An AI agent for accounts receivable works your own open invoices before and after the due date, in your company's name, and customers pay through your own payment provider.

Does an AI collections agent replace the AR team?

No. It takes over the routine chasing, follow-ups and payment collection. Your team sets the policy the agent works within, approves contact for the accounts that need it, and handles disputes and exceptions, which Fin routes to them with the invoice attached.

Can we control what the agent sends to customers?

Yes. Your team sets the tone, cadence, escalation thresholds and which accounts need sign-off before any contact. Templates are yours and the timing is Fin's. Role-based access limits who can change the policy, and an audit log records every action Fin takes.

Which ERPs and payment providers does Fin work with?

Core connects QuickBooks Online or Xero and one payment provider. Scale adds Oracle NetSuite, SAP, Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and Microsoft Dynamics 365, and multiple payment providers. Customers pay through the provider you already use, such as Stripe, Adyen, Worldpay or Authorize.Net, on your existing merchant agreement.

How much does an AI collections agent cost?

Finero Core is $399 a month, billed monthly, with 200 successfully paid invoices included; additional paid invoices cost 0.1% of the amount collected, capped at $1 per invoice. It starts with a 30-day free trial and goes live the same day. Scale is priced individually for higher volume and enterprise ERPs.
